The IHS22-D4 Viqua UV Disinfection System provides sediment pre-filtration, activated carbon pre-treatment and UV sterilization for point-of-entry or whole-home water filtration applications. The IHS22-D4 system replaces the SC320-DWS22, SCM320-DWS22, and SPV410-IHS22 systems. Once installed, this system gets to work at removing bacteria, viruses, and other microorganisms, in addition to reducing sediment, chlorine taste and odor. This system is easy to install because it is shipped mounted on a heavy-duty, steel bracket along with the first set of filters. The first two stages of water treatment involves 5-micron reduction of both sediment and chlorine taste/odor. Finally, in the last phase, water undergoes UV disinfection where the DNA of the microorganisms is deactivated which makes them unable to reproduce. All three stages come together to produce clean-tasting water in your home that is virtually free of harmful contaminants like Cryptosporidium, Cysts, and Giardia.
