Stoneware is very convenient for when you want to bake family dishes like lasagna (more acidic) or need more gentle heat / less of a crust. It also gives consumers the ability to freeze and reheat the dish – even in a microwave. Stoneware provides very even heat distribution and is great for the avid baker. Each piece was custom designed by Lodge based on learnings from thorough testing in Lodge’s test kitchen. We selected dish dimensions that are most commonly used in recipes and designed each piece with plenty of depth – so that you never feel the dish is too shallow.
