The HC3100 is designed to turn off a pump, valve, or other appliance, when the water drops below the level of the sensor. Installtion is simple, and its operation straight forward. When the sensor is detecting water the output is turned on, enabling the pump to run. As soon as the water drops below the sensor the output is turned off and an audible alarm is sounded. The output will stay off until the switch is reset by unplugging it and and then plugging it back in. This switch is commonly used on fountains, landscaping waterfalls, etc. to protect the pump from running dry and burning itself out. (Note: Not for Outdoor Use)
