Please note: Our products are not reclaimed barnwood. Rather, we reproduce the look and behavior of reclaimed barnwood from new materials. This reproduction barnwood siding from Hewn Elements is handcrafted to the highest standards in our shop, and is provided factory-direct for the best quality assurance. Our unique manufacturing process is designed to mimic both the look and behavior of actual reclaimed wood.

This barnwood siding is created from solid cedar planks, which measure 8 feet in length, 6 inches in width, and 13/16″ in thickness. It is finished on three sides, with an unfinished back.

If our barnwood gets wet, it darkens. As it dries, it lightens. With enough exposure to weather and natural elements, each board will age gracefully with its own character and charm, all while retaining the structural integrity of newly milled cedar.

Our handcrafted products are authentically designed to replicate the natural effect of exposed aged barnwood, utilizing kiln-dried renewable 13/16″ Western Red Inland Cedar, and a proprietary non-toxic treatment process. Whether your project is residential or commercial, large or small, you’ll have the freedom of mind that our products are free of lead, arsenic or other common wood contaminants.
