Features include an expanded menu with white/mixed rice, sushi rice, steel cut oatmeal and GABA brown rice settings for more healthy options, a triple heater (bottom, side and lid) to generate heat all around for even heating, automatic keep warm and reheating cycle and an easy-to-read LCD control panel with clock and timer functions. Additionally, a removable steam vent cap allows for high-temperature cooking without messy overflows and the unit also comes with an easy to store retractable cord, detachable and washable inner lid and rinse OK nonstick coated spherical inner cooking pan.
Steel Cut Oatmeal: This is a special menu setting for cooking steel cut oatmeal. The cooking flow is different than the regular Porridge setting, and has a shorter completion time.
Brown or GABA Brown: The Brown Rice Activation (or GABA Brown Setting) activates brown rice by keeping the temperature inside the pan at about 104°F for 2 hours. By activating brown rice, GABA, one of the nutrients contained in brown rice, increases its amount 1.5 times as much as that contained in non-activated brown rice. GABA (gamma-aminobutyric acid) is a type of amino acid said to lower blood pressure, improve kidney function, and relieve stress.
